- The Coeur d’Alene
Public Golf Club, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, incorporated
June 12, 1953 after many months of careful study to determine the
probable success of a public 18 hole golf course in Kootenai
County, Idaho. At that time, the only golfing in the county was a private
course located at Hayden Lake.
- Course
construction started in 1955. The first nine opened for play July
14, 1957, and the back nine late in 1960. The course covers
approximately 143 acres and most of it purchased from two parties
with some smaller parcels donated to the course. The course is a
privately owned facility ~ open to the public. It is owned by the
voting membership and is operated by 9 Directors who serve without
compensation or special privileges. Our basic purpose is to
provide golfing facilities for the social and recreational use of
Kootenai County citizens at a reasonable cost.

Because
we are a non-profit corporation the cost to the public is one of
the most reasonably priced in the state, plus, the profits are put
back into the course allowing us to maintain the greens
& fairways in a consistent manner. Visitors repeatedly tell
us, they "have never seen a public course in such great
shape!"

We
invite you to browse our web site and plan to come out and see our
course. We know you would enjoy a few rounds at Coeur d'Alene
Public Golf Club...and we would enjoy getting to know you!
